Is eyelash extensions and perming contraindicated for cataract?

When we have a client with the following condition: cataract

Signs and symptoms for cataract

  • Clouded, blurred or dim vision
  • Increasing difficulty with vision at night
  • Sensitivity to light and glare
  • Need for brighter light for reading and other activities
  • Seeing “halos” around lights
  • Frequent changes in eyeglass or contact lens prescription
  • Fading or yellowing of colours

Description

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye which leads to a decrease in vision. Cataracts often develop slowly and can affect one or both eyes.

Cataracts are most commonly due to aging but may also occur due to trauma or radiation exposure, be present from birth, or occur following eye surgery for other problems.

Risk factors include diabetes, smoking tobacco, prolonged exposure to sunlight, and alcohol.

Is cataract contagious?
No, "cataract" is NOT contagious!
