When we have a client with the following condition: brain haemorrhage

Signs and symptoms for brain haemorrhage

  • A sudden agonising headache – which is often described as being similar to a sudden hit on the head, resulting in a blinding pain unlike anything experienced before
  • A stiff neck
  • Feeling and being sick
  • Sensitivity to light (photophobia)
  • Blurred or double vision
  • Stroke-like symptoms – such as slurred speech and weakness on one side of the body
  • Loss of consciousness or convulsions (uncontrollable shaking)

Description

A brain hemorrhage is a type of stroke. It’s caused by an artery in the brain bursting and causing localized bleeding in the surrounding tissues. This bleeding kills brain cells.

The Greek root for blood is hemo. Hemorrhage literally means “blood bursting forth.”
Some disorders, especially those that involve the blood supply to the brain such as brain haemorrhage are potentially, life threatening.

Is brain haemorrhage contagious?
No, "brain haemorrhage" is NOT contagious!
