Description

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is a type of cancer that usually starts in the skin where the cells multiply and alter the skin’s appearance.

Although the cause is not fully understood, there is strong evidence to suggest that UIltraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can do damage to the skin that may contribute to the development of an SCC.

Other less common causes are radiation therapy, trauma, chemicals and viruses.

Is squamous cell carcinoma (scc) contagious?
No, "squamous cell carcinoma (scc)" is NOT contagious!
